頬部腫脹を主訴としたCushing症候群の1例

A Case of Cushing's Syndrome with a Swelling of the Cheek

　I，緒言

　耳鼻咽喉科の受診をきっかけにして，Cushing症候群であることが判明することは稀である。今回，頬部の腫脹と疼痛を主訴として受診した患者が，諸検査の結果Cushing症候群であることが判明し，頬部の腫脹疼痛は非特異的細菌性炎症による症状にすぎず，Cushing症候群による感染抵抗力減弱に基づいて発症したと思われた1例を経験したので，ここに報告する。

　A 41-year-old woman complaining of a painful swelling of the right cheek, was diagnosed as of Cushing's syndrome.

　It was considered that this symptom was caused by a subcutaneous abscess in the right cheek due to maxillary sinusitis resulted from non-specific bacterial infection. The decrease in vital resistance of the patient to infection might be an etiologic factor.
