 An eighteen years old boy had lost his consciousness after being strangled his neck by his friend during play. He fell down and struck his head at the occipital region on a floor, he developed severe deafness in his left ear and vestibular disturbance.

 The possible causes of his severe deafness were discussed from the following three points.

 1) Transverse fracture of the temporal bone.

 2) Disturbance of the inner ear circulation.

 3) Sudden Deafness.
