舌根部に発生した腺房細胞癌の1例

ACINIC CELL CARCINOMA OF THE ROOT OF THE TONGUE

　I．はじめに

　舌腫瘍は頭頸部領域の悪性腫瘍のうちで喉頭癌，上顎癌についで頻度の高い腫瘍であるが，そのほとんどすべてが扁平上皮癌で男性に多いといわれている。われわれは今回，病理組織学的に非常に稀である，舌根部に発生した小唾液腺由来の腺房細胞癌の1例を経験したので報告する。

　An extremely rare case of acinic cell carcinoma at the root of the tongue is reported.

　A man, aged 76, complained of a swelling at the root of the tongue which interfered with swallowing since 3 years ago. Examination showed a hard mass at the mentioned area which was painless to touch. The growth was surgically removed under general anesthesia and measured 3×3×2 cm in dimensions.

　The histopathological diagnosis was acinic cell carcinoma that had originated from minor salivary gland. Pre- and post-operative radiotherapy and chemotherapy were not performed in this case. However, the postoperative clinical course was wholly satisfactory and patient was discharged from our service one month following the operation.
