まれな型のメニエール病について

A RARE CASE OF MÉNIÈRE'S DISEASE

　I．はじめに

　われわれは急激に発来した眩暈や耳鳴，難聴などを主症状として来院した患者の取扱いに苦慮する。最終的な診断は長期間観察しなければ下せないが，現実にはそんなゆとりがない。外来では一応診断名をつけ，治療方針を決めないといけないから。著者は長期間観察していたところ，前庭および蝸牛障害がそれぞれ時期を異にして優勢に出現した，まれな1症例に遭遇したので臨床的経過を報告する。本症例は突発性前庭障害，突発性難聴，メニエール病の相互関係およびこれらの疾患の原因解明に参考になると思われる。

　A man, aged 28, in the recent 3 years complained of an attack of vertigo without any disturbance of hearing and 2 attacks of hearing disturbances with-out any vestibular symptoms. It appeared that the vestibular and cochlea disturbances were manifested alternatingly on separate occasions. How-ever, the author assumes that these two disturbances are not derived from separate entities but should be considered as a single involvement of Ménière's disease.
