 A woman, aged 49, complaining of repeated rotatory dizziness with rotation of her head and a man, aged 67, diagnosed as subarachnoidal hemorrhage, were further subjected to x-ray examinations by visualization of the cerebral arteries. The presence of the primitive hypoglossal artery was revealed in both cases.

 The authors discuss the pathology and the state in which this artery be found in detail.
