鼻咽腔血管線維腫症例追加—男性ホルモン投与と病理組織所見

ANGIOFIBROMA OF THE NASOPHARYNX, SECOND REPORT OBSERVATIONS ON THE EFFECT OF ANDROGEN THERAPY

　Ⅰ．緒言

　鼻咽腔血管線維腫（いわゆる鼻咽腔線維腫）は病理組織学的には良性腫瘍であるが，臨床的には大出血をおこし，治療困難で再発しやすいことから悪性腫瘍として取り扱われている。

　さきにわれわれは本症の2例を報告し，あわせて本邦文献例について統計的観察を試みた^19）が今回さらに21歳男子に発生した本腫瘍に男性ホルモン投与を継続しながら病理組織像の変化を約4カ月間にわたり追跡した1例を経験したので，ここに追加報告する。

　Observations on an angiofibroma of the nasopharynx in a man, aged 21, was made for the period of 4 months during which the patient was given per oral androgen therapy with time to time pathological examination of the growth. Fortunately, upon these occasions there were very little bleeding. The patient was, then, operated upon with a vertical incision of the soft palate for a successful removal of the tumor with a very slight hemorrhage. The authors believed the tumor decreased insize by the androgen therapy.
