鼻咽腔治療により緩解を示した神経性下痢症の二症例

RECOVERY OF CHRONIC DIARRHEA THROUGH TREATMENT OF NASOPHARYNGITIS

　Ⅰ．緒言

　鼻咽腔炎が全身に及ぼす影響については，すでに教室諸賢の様々な角度からの研究および種々の臨床報告があり^2）9），堀口は過年宿題報告を行ない鼻咽腔炎と全身諸疾患との関連を喚起している^2）。しかし鼻咽腔炎治療により，改善ないし治癒に赴く疾患はなお次々と発見追加されているのが実状である。

　今回われわれは，自律神経性ないしはアレルギー性と思われる難治頑固なる習慣性下痢症の患者に，潜伏性の激しい鼻咽腔炎（亜急性鼻咽腔炎，Subacute Nasopharyngitis）を発見し，これに対して鼻咽腔炎治療（1％ ZnCl₂の局所塗布，第1図）のみを施行したところ，短期間に著明な改善をみた2症例を経験したので報告する。

　Two patients similarly complaining of persistent diarrhae in spite of various drug therapies given them. They also complained of obstinate headaches and nasal obstructions.

　The examination showed, in both cases, the presence of subacute nasopharygitis. The patients were treated by topical application of 1% Zinc chloride solution to the mucous membrane of the nasopharynx.

　From this treatment alone the patients soon recovered from the diarrhea and the nasal complaints were completely eliminated, Whether the diarrhea was caused by autonomic nerve disturbance or allergic factor the treatment is fully worth a further consideraton.
