THE ANGLE OF DISPLACEMENT IN THE STEPPING TEST

　Ⅰ．緒言

　足踏検査（福田，1943）^1）は，今日もつとも普及した偏倚検査の一つであり，1970年春の日本平衡神経科学会によつて行なわれたアンケート^2）でも，直立検査につぐ頻度で利用されていた。

　しかし，その結果の判定や解釈についてはまだ色々と問題がある。たとえば，足踏検査では，偏倚が迷路機能の高い方へ向かうことが多いが，それはなぜか。偏倚の指標として，回転角と移行角とがあるが，各々の持つ意義は何か。さらに，左右へではなく前後へ偏位することがあるが，これはどのような機序によるものであるか。このような問題が残つているにもかかわらず，足踏検査について十分検討された形跡はない。

　Three elements may be revealed in the stepping test consisting of laterotorsion, lateropulsion and antero-posterior changes.

　The angle of displacement may be consisting of influence by lateropulsion, laterotorsion and righting reflex. No one element would be solely predominant in any case.

　The lateral torsion may be more readily noted in the angle of rotation in the stepping test; and, in the same way, lateral pulsion in the gait test. For results these two tests should be performed together as one test.
