耳下腺粘表皮癌（Mucoepidermoid Carcinoma）症例

A MUCOEPIDERMOID CARCINOMA OF THE PAROTID GLAND

　I．はじめに

　唾液腺なかんずく，耳下腺に発生する腫瘍はその組織的形態からみて甚だ多彩であるが，そのうち粘表皮癌（Mucoepidermoid Carcinoma）は近年はじめてStewart他（1945）^1）によつて分類されたもので，比較的まれなグループに属し，その性格に関しては未だ論議が多く興味深い腫瘍である。われわれはは本疾患の症例を経験し治療観察する機会を得たのでこれを記録し本邦における報告例に加えたいと考える。

　Suspecting a mixed parotid tumor, a recurrent swelling in the subauricular region of the left ear in a girl, aged 9, was operated. The parotid gland was meticulously removed with proper precautionary measure adopted against injury of the facial nerve. However, on the first day of the operation a definite facial paralysis was quite evident. The facial muscles were treated conservatively daily for the period of 4 months and after which a normal muscular movements were completely regained. At present, 10 months after the operation, no recurrence of either, symptoms or growth is seen.
