癒着性中耳炎に対する保存的一治療法

A NEW TREATMENT FOR CHRONIC ADHESIVE OTITIS MEDIA

　Ⅰ．緒言

　癒着性中耳炎は中耳及び隣接する含気蜂巣の無菌的炎症である。本疾患は容易に慢性化する傾向を持ち耳管閉塞と鼓室の癒着形成を主徴とする。

　癒着性中耳炎は既に前世紀より成書に記載されている疾患であり，また，今世紀初頭にもそれに関する研究発表が二三見出されるが，以後，最近に至るまで耳科医の興味が遠のいたか話題にのぼらぬまま推移した。然るに，近年，抗生物質その他の化学薬物学の進歩は一般医学のみならず，耳科治療学の常識をも一変させた。

Adhesive otitis media may be defined as a sterile infection involving the middle ear cavity and the adjacent bony-air-cells. It is particularly known by its common occurrence but highly resistent to treatment.

The authors treated this disease by conse-rvative means in which the middle ear cavity was injected with a mixed dye solution com-posed of chymotrypsin and predonine under a measured positive pressure. The results were favorable. The clinical features of the treat-ment are commented from pathological point of view.
