上咽頭癌の症例

A EPIPHARYNGEAL CANCER

　Ⅰ．緒言

　上咽頭腫瘍はその解剖学的特殊性から，我々耳鼻咽喉科医にとつてさえ視診が難しい場合があり，頭蓋底と密接しているため，治療の時期を失するとLebensdrohendのものとなり易い等，中々手強い疾患である。今回我々は，26歳男子の右上咽頭に発生したTransitional cell carcinomaの症例で，強力な放射線療法により下咽頭，頸部その他全身臓器への転移は防ぐ事が出来たにも不拘，頭蓋窩内への腫瘍の浸潤を防ぎ切れず，3年後に不幸の転帰を取つた1例を報告し，御参考に供したい。

A pharyngeal transitional carcinoma in a man, aged 26, is reported. In spite of irradia-tion treatment and trigeminotomy as symp-tomatic relief, the tumor gradually increased in size infiltrating the adjacent soft palate and the patient died. Various aspects of this case are discussed.
