副鼻腔炎手術後の治癒機転とその障害について

THE PROGRESS OF RECOVERY FOLLOWING SINUS OPERATION AND THE CAUSE OF ITS FAILURE

　慢性副鼻腔炎の術後の経過は，予期通りの結果が得られない場合が屡々あるので，臨床家が等しく苦心しているところである。事実身体他部の手術の場合は勿論，同じ副鼻腔でも，腫瘍などの他の疾患で手術した場合に較べて，慢性副鼻腔炎の術後の経過は不安定であることは経験的に認めざるを得ないのである。

　このような臨床的事実から考えられることは，慢性副鼻腔炎の手術成績というものは，鼻腔，副鼻腔という局所的特異性の問題だけでなく，慢性副鼻腔炎という疾患そのものにも問題が潜んでいるだろうということである。

By means of taking stoboscopic pictures observations are made on the progress of wo-und recovery following combined sinus opera-tions. The stages of recovery in accordance to the way in which granulation tissues are formed are divided into 3 periods and the manner in which granulations are found the wound healing may be regarded as being good or poor. It appeared that this quality of wound healing either good or bad was influe-nced by the pathological condition of the sinus cavity;the result of healing may be by means of scar formation or by regeneration of the sinus mucosa. Examinations are made in what way recovery of air circulation may be reestablished in the sinuses.
