耳鼻咽喉科領域における抗ヒスタミン剤「メトロン・コーワ」の使用経験

I．緒言

　抗ヒスタミン剤メトロン・コーワの化学名は2-Isopropylamino 6-methyl heptane hydrochorideで，下記の如き構造式を有する。即ち従来

の抗ヒスタミン剤と化学構造が多少異つており，芳香核を有しない脂肪族アミン誘導体で，然も従来の抗ヒスタミン剤と同様に強力な抗ヒスタミン作用・抗アセチルコリン作用を有し，其の外に気管支拡張作用・毛細血管透過性低下作用・止血作用・鎮痙作用等を有し，中枢神経系・循環系・自律神経系への刺激或は麻痺作用は極めて僅かである。我々はこの薬剤を耳鼻咽喉科領域における一連の急性疾患に使用し，かなりの効果を得たのでここに発表する。

　Momoi and associates report favorable results by using Metron-Kowa, 2-isopropylamine 6-methyl heptane hydrochloride, an antihistminic agent. Chemically there is a slight difference in the basic structural composition when compared to other usual antihistamines. Its chief advantage is the fact that it does not cause drowsiness as other drugs for a similar purpose.
