Sato and Goto highly recommend the use of electrical shock treatment for cases invol-ved with postoperative psychosis. The afflic-tion of postoperative psychosis is not at all a rare complication following surgical inter-ventions in the field of otolaryngology. Here-tofore for treatment of such cases the services of psychiatrists were invariably necessitated and made the situation even more complicated. The electrical shock treatment of psychosis is not only simple in its application and free from any untoward effect but, it is easily managed in the hands of otolaryngologists and, it behooves the latter to give this method a trial, when called for, for a solution of much sought for complications.
