Owada and associates investigate to reveal a possible relevancy between Frequency Difference Limen (FDL) and Loudness Difference Limen (LDL) with following conclusions:

 1. When FDL value is obtained among individuals who are normal in hearing up to 2.000 cycles it fell within the range of 5 cycles per second. By percentage (⊿F/F×100) rarely did any exceed beyond that of 2%.

 2. When FDL and LDL are both obtained on persons affected with perceptive deafness the ear showing decreased LDL or that affected with positive recruitment phenomenon the FDL percentage appeared to be increased.

 3. Practically, the field with which findings of these values may be applied is limited and their results are lacking consistency; their value as an armamentarium for diagnostic criterion for detection of perceptive deafness appears to be highly questionable.
