明瞭度検査用語音としての2連音の意義について

　聽能検査に語音を以てする場合，その最も基礎となるべきものは，検査に用うる語音表であることは多言を要しない。

　この語音表を作成するに際し，邦語の場合，単音を用うるが適当か，或いは単音の連接よりなる2連音を用うるのが適当かは論議のあるところである。即ち谷氏^2）は電話系では検査表として連音が適当であるとし，又落合教授^1）は電話系でも単音が適当であるとなし，河田教授^3）は聽能検査の上から単音が適当であるとして居る。

SUGAYA states that, in making articulation tests in the hard of hearing, the use of mono-syllable 'Kana'sound is much more preferable than a combined two syllable words. Tests on the same patients with two different sources of sounds brought results that were quit diffe-rent, and, when such differences are unheeded they may lead to error in diagnosis for the type of hearing loss that may be present.
