高度の眼球突出を來たせるムコツエレの1例に就て

　眼球突出症の大部分は眼窩内腫瘍（特に骨腫）．眼底腫瘍（グリナーム）等によつて来たり，眼科疾患として治療されている場合が多いのであるが，耳鼻咽喉科領域に於ても，特に副鼻腔の悪性腫瘍，急性炎症，ポリープビオツエレムコツエレ等により起り得る事は一般に知られている事である，然し我が領域に於て来る物は眼球突出は2次的な物であり大低はその以前に於て既に其の疾患特有の症状を呈しているものである．本例は〓時日の間に高度の眼球突出を来たした，主に節骨蜂窩のムコツエレによる1例である．

　NONAKA reports a case of ethmoidal mucocele which caused severe exophthalmos. Nasal examination of the patient was not helpfull excepting for the presence of hypertrophic middle turbinate without inflammatory signs. The diagnosis was based upon a swelling at the inner canthus that showed fluctuation upon pressure. Roentgenogram was used to ascertain the extent of the growth. the seat of the growth was found in the ethmoidal cells and in its development the optic fossa the line of lesser resistance as compared to nasal septum was encroached upon to cause exophthalmos.
