Kojma reports observations on 8 cases of socalled "Wakana Disease" that occurred with epidemic prev-alence in Hyogo district from the latter part of Aug-ust to Mid-September 1949. It its believed that the etiology of this disease was being due to oral infest-ation of rhabditiform larvae of Ancylostoma. With s-light infestation the symptoms mainfested thereby may resemble eitner that of pharyngitis or laryngitis: in-festations in any amount deyond that may assimila-te attacks of asthma which reduire careful consider-ations for differentiation of the disease. (Ed. 'Is no-te: '-Wakana" means young edible greens which the populace seek with relish at the interval period for aood vegetables; the product of discards with thinni-gg out process of that which is thickly sowed.)
