I．はじめに

　最近，癌の診断法の進歩により治癒する患者がふえてくるにしたがって，重複癌（prirnary multiple cancer）に対する関心が高まっている^13）．

　一般に重複腫瘍は，異なった腫瘍が同時期に存在しているものを同時性（synchronous），時期を異にする場合を異時性（heterochronous）と呼び，その期間が1年以内を同時性，それ以上を異時性とすることが多い^8,15,16）．また，この発生のメカニズムは不明であるが，癌発生の根本問題を含んでいるようであり興味がある．

A combination of multiple primary neoplasm (MPN) with glioblastoma and cancer of other organs is ex-tremely rare but might be spurred up in the field of neurosurgery because of increasing number of cured patients from cancer or malignant brain tumor. Four such cases are presented. Two of them are of hetero-chronous occurrence of tumors. One has survived for17 years after treating four malignancies : uterus, stom-ach, breast cancer and glioblastoma multiforme in this order and free of brain tumor for 4 years.
