I．はじめに

　原発性脳腫瘍は小児悪性腫瘍の約20％を占め，小児期においては最も頻度の高い固型腫瘍である^19）．最近の報告^7）によれば，その5年生存率，10年生存率はそれぞれ47％，40％であり，救命率が向上するに従って単に生命予後のみならず機能的予後についても関心が高まってきている．小児脳腫瘍治療後の機能的予後調査によると，特に知的機能および性格・情動面でかなりの障害がみられ，その原因として種々の要因が考えられている．今回，私どもは脳腫瘍生存児について，心理学的手法により知的面および情動面に関して評価検討を行い，あわせてそれらに影響をおよぼす因子の分析を行って，若干の知見を得たので報告する．

Thirty children treated for brain tumors between 1978-1985 at Kurume university hospital were evalu-ated for alternation in intellectual, emotional, and social function. They were 15 males and 15 females, aged 3 to 16 years, on the averaged 1.7 years after treatment. Twenty-eight children had no neurological deficits and 2 children had slight neurological deficits. It was possi-ble for twenty-eight children to be evaluated for intelli-gence quotient by Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Chil-dren-revised and Tanaka-Binet.
