興味ある臨床像を呈した巨大頭蓋底部骨軟骨腫

Intracranial Giant Osteochondrorna with Unusual Clinical Features

I．緒言

　頭蓋内骨軟骨腫は稀な腫瘍であり，本邦での集計は池田らの報告によると27例にすぎない．われわれは，斜台より発生した巨大な骨軟骨腫の1例を経験し，その発症から突然の出血死に至る約4年間にわたる臨床経過を観察する機会を得た．血管の増生に乏しく，良性腫瘍である骨軟骨腫の出血死は，報告も極めて少なく，またその臨床像にも興味深いものがあり，若干の考察を加え報告する．

A case of giant osteochondroma arising from the parame-dian skull basis was reported because of unsual clinicalfeatures in cranial nerve involvement and pyramidal tractsigns, and especially because of sudden death due to intra-cranial hemorrhage. The patient was a 24-year-old male,who had been followed for over 3 years and 9 months, andreceived two operations because of bilateral extension of thetumor.

During follow-up he had experienced frequent euphoricspells untill mental deterioration became evident. Thenhe went suddenly into deep coma and intracranial hemor-rhage was found with CT scan.
