患者:井〇真〇 昭和50年4月15日生れ男児(現在まで4回入院)
A case of lumbosacral myelomeningocele who had had troublesome infected shunt system, was reported.
First admission: A newborn boy, born after full time of pregnancy, was admitted to our service immediately after his birth. On admission the boy was alert and had spotaneous movements at the hips but showed a mild reduction of motor function in both legs as well as urinary and fecal incontinence. The baby had pes equinoyarns and cryptorchismus bilaterally. The myelomeningocele, sized about 4.5 cm in diameter, were tense and drained a little bit of clear CSF from the uncovered part of the skin but no infected signs presented.
