  • Look Inside

A 65-year-old male was admitted to our department on July 24, 1975, because of his mild lumbago and intermittent claudication for one year. Neurological examination disclosed motor weakness and muscle atrophy in the right tibialis anterior and extensor hallucis longus muscle, decreased patella tendon and absent Achillis tendon reflexes on the right, hypesthesia in L-5 dermatome, decreased deep sensation below L-1, and negative Lasegue sign.

A spinal tap revealed crystal clear flucid under an initial pressure eqiuvalent to 160 mm of water with the protein content of 60 mg/dl.
