An Infantile Skull Fracture followed by the Enlarging of the Fracture Line ("Enlarging Skull Fracture")

Ⅰ．はじめに

　乳幼児の場合，頭蓋骨の線状骨折後，時間の経過と共に，骨折部位が異常に拡大し，又拡大した骨欠損部に相当して軟かい腫瘤が触れてくることがある．

　1816年，John Howship^8）が"Partlal absorption of the right parietal bone, arising from a blow on the head"in a child aged 9 month．の症例を報告して以来，

We experience sometimes an infantile skull fracture which is followed by the skull fracture line and bulging of the fractured area clay by day after the head injury.

Since John Howship reported the case of the partial absorption of the right parietal bone, arising from a blow on the head in a child aged 9 month in 1816, this phenomenon was variously described meningocele spuria, traumatic cephalohydrocele, leptomeningeal cyst, fibrosing osteitis, cerebrocranial erosion, traumatic meningocele, die wachsende Schadelfrakture, growing skull fracture etc.
