Ⅰ．はじめに

　第3脳室colloid cystは比較的稀な疾患であるが，諸外国においてはDandyら^8）の手術例を含めて現在までに約300例近くが報告されている．一方，本邦での報告はきわめて少なく，現在までに数例を数えるにすぎず^{1，14，22，23）}，特に手術成功例の報告は坂田ら^22），景山ら^14）の2例をみるのみである．我々は最近，種々の検査により本症と診断し，手術的に全摘出し治癒せしめた1例と，急激な発症後数目で死亡し，剖検にて本症と認めた1例を経験したので，文献的考察を加えて報告する．

Colloid cysts of the third ventricle are considered as a relatively rate benign tumor, constituting approximately 0.5% of the whole brain tumors, but the surgical cases have rarely been reported in Japan.

In this paper, two cases of colloid cyst are reported and the pathogenesis, the importance of the clinical diagnosis and dramatic results after complete extirpation was emphasized.
