  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

In our daily practice, we try to observe the facial expression, attitude and manner of eye movement of patients in order to find out the inner experience. The eye movement can be grasped as one of behavioral indications.

In our previous examinations two pictures wereshown to chronic schizophrenics, their relatives and normal subjects and their eye movements were recorded using an eye mark recorder by Moriya et al in our laboratory.

Eyes moved less frequently and the moving range of fixation points was much more limited in chronic schizophrenic patients and in their parents than in normal subjects.
