Abstract
Among many investigations on the brain edema, we think that the most important findings are the following : After the breakdown of blood-brain barrier (BBB), a large inflow of edema fluid passes into the brain tissue and accumulates within the abnormally distended "extracellular space". These findings were also true in our observa-tions. However, we thought an important point was how to understand these conditions. And we understood them that many neurons, as well as all other cellular elements, were separated from each other by the hematogenous edema fluid.
