Parkinsonismと左右差

The laterality of the symptomes came to obscure as to progress of the disease

　Parkinson病が，左右差をもって発症する傾向があることについては，すでにParkinson自身彼の原著^1）の中で「振戦は一側の上肢に起こり，数年を経て他側に及ぶ」と述べている。また，hemiparkinsonismなる語が語るようにParkinson病ではlateralityを症候学的に認めることが多い。系統性変性疾患でありながら多くはlateralityをもって発症することに関しては不明であり，従来諸家により報告された症候のlateralityの成績についても必ずしも一定していない。そこで，厚生省特定疾患調査研究班によりなされた多数のParkinsonism患者における症候学的解析のうちlateralityに関する成績を解析するとともに，文献的にもParkinson病のlateralityについて考察を加えた。

Abstract

　In Parkinsonian patients, clinical symptomes such as the tremor or the rigidity begin frequently in one extremity or in one side of the body (cf. Hemiparkinsonism). Most of the authors reported the tremor is more frequently seen in the right side than in the left, although Gowers reported the left predominance. It is still unclear whether there is any true laterality of the symptome in Parkinson's disease or not.
