連合野の発達障害

Developmental disorders related to the cerebral association area

　連合野の髄鞘形成が出生時には乏しく，生後の発達は小児の運動および知的能力の獲得とともに進むことが知られている。また，乳児早期の精神神経機能の発達は，大脳神経細胞相互の線維連絡の著増とも並行している。

　stretch reflexや脳幹レベルの各種反射，単純な反復運動はすでに未熟児においても認められるが，意志的な動作，すなわち，眼前の玩具をつかむ，自立歩行によって目的に到達する，言語をcommunicationや思考の手段として使用するなど，多かれ少なかれ，統合的な機能を要する能力の獲得にはかなりの歳月を必要とする。

　Although the stepwise achievement of coordinated behavior in infants and children is related to development of the cerebral association areas, the anatomical bases of its disorders are mostly unknown. A number of developmental disorders have been reported under the various titles such as developmental dysphasia, aphasia, dyslexia, dyspraxia, agnosia, special syndromes and so on. They are transient or permanent.
