I．はじめに

　乳幼児期に始まる慢性中枢性変性疾患の中でいわゆるspheroid bodyが灰白質を中心に，著明にビ漫性に出現する疾患をSeitelbergerが1952年に"Eine unbekannte Form von Infantiler Lipoidspeicherkrankheit des Gehirns"の題でHallervorden Spatz disease（HVS）のinfantile typeとして報告したが，その後1963年Cowenら^1）が同胞例を詳細に検討し，Infantile Neuroaxonal Dystrophy（INAD）の命名でHVSとは違ったものとして独立した疾患単位に位置づけた。その後，INADとしての剖検報告例が散発的に認められ^2〜6），本邦にもTakei^7），Takashima^8）らの報告がある。しかしINADとして報告されている例は，通常spheroid bodyの著明な出現の他の病理組織学的病変の詳細は，個々の例で多少異なっているようであり，症例数も少ないためにINADの病像が臨床的にも，病型分類の面でもいまだ確定的とはいえない。

An autopsy case of Infantile Neuroaxonal Dystrophy of 7⁹/₁₂-year-old female was studied by histological and electron microscopical examination. Three following histological characteristic lesions are present as described by the most previous reports.

1. Numerous spheroid bodies are present throughoutthe grey matter of the central nervous system, especially in the nucleus funiculi dorsalis and dorsal horns of the spinal, cord.
