  • Look Inside

The gustatory-related regions of the cerebral cortex in human beings have been the issue of argument for a long time. Although intensive electrophysiological experiments on gustatory areas have been made on subhuman primates, research on humans has been limited to clinical observations of patients with brain damage. In most cases, however, damage is not confined to a specific place in the brain but instead involves a wide area which makes clinical study difficult.
