怒りの中枢機序

Central mechanism of rage reaction

三大情動の一つである怒りの中枢機序について述べた。怒りを発動するのは，脳幹情動系に属する内側視床下野腹内側核と中脳中心灰白質吻側部であると考えられた。両者は背側縦束によって密に連絡されているが，機能上は腹内側核の方が上位にあることが示されている。環境刺激を認知して脳幹情動系を駆動する入力系は，視覚刺激に関しては網膜―後頭葉視覚皮質―側頭葉―大脳辺縁系であり，大脳辺縁系の中でも扁桃核系は怒り促進的に，外側中隔―海馬系は抑制的に機能していると考えられた。発動された怒りが行動として現れるまでの神経経路，すなわち出力系はまだ不明な点が多いが，前頭前野―大脳基底核―視床―補足運動野―運動野がその主経路であると思われ，とくに前頭前野は行動のプログラミングや時間的構成化，さらには行動の結果としてもたらされる報酬の評価に関与していることが示唆された。

Central mechanisms of rage reaction were discussed based on animal studies. Well-organized rage reaction is reported to be elicited by electrical stimulation of the ventromedial hypothalamic nucleus (VM) and the rostral half of the midbrain periaqueductal gray, thus these structures were considered to be essential to rage reaction as the drive-generating mechanism. The neuronal pathway of retina-occipital visual cortex-temporal lobe-limbic system was considered to be the input pathway which conveys visual informations necessary for initiation of the brainstem drive-generating system.
