ジメチルスルフォキシド膀胱内注入療法が有効であった間質性膀胱炎5例の検討

Intravesical Instillation of Dimethyl Sulfoxide for Interstitial Cystitis:A Report of Five Cases

　間質性膀胱炎5例に対してジメチルスルフォキシド膀胱内注入療法を行い，良好な成績を得た。年齢は54〜78歳で平均は67.2歳，全例女性であった。1例に再発を認めたが，膀胱内注入療法を再開することにより膀胱刺激症状は消失した。また，現在1例のみに加療を要するも，抗コリン剤および消炎鎮痛剤をときに服用するだけで日常生活に支障ない。他の4例については，排尿障害なく加療を必要とせず，経過良好である。

We report five cases of intravesical instillation of dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) for interstitial cystitis. The five patients are all female, 54 to 78 years of age, 67.2 years in average. For treatment, we instilled 50ml of 50% DMSO into the bladder for 15 minutes every 2 weeks. One patient relapsed two years and four months after the treatment, but she became free of symptom again after resuming intravesical therapy. These patients have been followed from 3 to 6 years, and now only one patient requires occasional treat-ment with anticholinergics and anti-inflammatory drugs, but remaining patients (80%) are of complete relief.
