　開心術後に抗凝固療法を施行中の2例の前立腺肥大症患者に対して，抗凝固剤（ワーファリン）を継続したままで経尿道的前立腺電気蒸散術を行った。TUR用の切除鏡に3列の溝を有するローラー型電極（VaporTrode^＆trade；）を装着し，出力180〜250Wの条件で全周性に前立腺組織を蒸散させた。術中における出血などの副作用は認められず，術後3か月の米国泌尿器科学会の症状スコア，最大尿流量率および残尿量は，術前と比較し著明に改善した。

We experienced 2 benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) patients, with anticoagulant therapy treated by transurethral electric vaporization of the prostate (TVP). Bleeding tendency due to anticoagulant therapy existed during the treatment in both cases. Under general anesthesia, TVP was performed in the same way as was described by Kaplan using a specially designed roller electrode for electrovaporization. Three months after the treatment, American Urological Association symptom score decreased from 17, 19 to 3, 4, respectively.
