Achromobacter xylosoxidansが分離された急性尿道炎の1例

ACUTE URETHRITIS ASSOCIATED WITH ACHROMOBACTER XYLOSOXIDANS: A CASE REPORT

緒言

　従来，グルコース非発酵性グラム陰性桿菌であるAchromobacter xylosoxidans　（以下A．xylosoxi-dansと略す）については，その病原性および感染に対し，あまり関心が持たれていなかつたように思われる。しかし近年，脳神経外科領域^1），耳鼻科領域^2）などでの感染報告例が相次いで発表され，その病原性がしだいに注目されつつある。一方，術後脳室炎患者の尿中にA．xylosoxidansを証明した報告はあるものの，尿路感染症において，本菌が尿道分泌物から分離，同定された報告はない。

　われわれは臨床上淋菌性と患われた急性尿道炎患者の尿道分泌物中に淋菌を見出し得ず，培養にて，A．xylosoxidansが分離，同定された1例を経験したので，その病因についての若干の考察も含めて報告する。

A 34 year-old Japanese male had sexual intercourse with a prostitute on 15 March, 1975 and two weeks later, appeared urethral discharge. Neisseria gonorrhoeae was not revealed from the discharge, but only achromobacter xylosoxidans (A. xylosoxidans) was isolated on culture study.

A. xylosoxidans is a non-fermentative, gram negative and peritrichous rod shaped bacillus.

Up to this time, A. xylosoxidans has not been isolated from discharge of patient with acute urethritis. This report is the first case of acute urethritis associated with A. xylosoxidans.
