　砒化水素の吸収による急性中毒症は各種の職場において起こる可能性がある^3,4,17）。臨床的には強い溶血による重篤な諸症状を来し，急性腎不全・無尿症となることもしばしばあるが，この際の予後は悲観的とされている。以下砒化水素吸収による急性腎不全症の1例を人工透析により治癒せしめることができた経験を記す。

A 22 year old male, working as an analyst of a minning company, inhaled arsenic hydrogen for about 20 minutes without noticing, which was produced while preparing reagents by adding various metals to sulfuric acid. Nausea, vomitting and diarrhea started one hour later and was treated by BAL at the dispensary of the minning company. Black colored urine was noticed soon after the acci-dent and became anuric 24 hours later. Patient was admitted 3 days later with clear consciousness but complaining general fatigue and unable to walk.
