緒言
泌尿器科領域では老人を対象とした手術が多く，それだけに合併症も多彩となる。われわれは金沢市立病院において前立腺摘除術後12日目に発生した急性心臓死の1例を経験したので，報告する。
Case is a 63 year old male, who had retropubic prostatectomy, vasectomy and radical hydrocele-ctomy by Winkelman's method for benign prostatic hypertrophy and left hydrocele under general anesthesia. On the first and 10 th day after surgery patient complaint of pressure feeling of chest and oppression of chest which disappeared soon. Patient was ambulant 10 days after surgery but suddenly died on the 12 th day during defecation.
