  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

We feel that local anesthesia only is not effective enough for panendoscopic examination in male but general or spinal anesthesia is "too much anesthesia".

The combination of Hydroxyzine, a minor tranquillizer, and Pentazocine, a weak analgetic, was used as premedication, before the local application of Benoxil-jelly, a local anesthetic lubricant jelly, on 60 adult male cases and each drug was evaluated by the double blind technique.
