仙尾部脊索腫の1例

A CASE OF SACROCOCCYGEAL CHORDOMA

Ⅰ．緒言

　脊索腫は胎生初期に存在する脊索の遺残から発生する比較的まれな腫瘍であり^1），主として頭蓋内および仙尾骨部に好発する^2）。通例，この腫瘍は膨張性に発育し，骨をおかす傾向をもつ^1）。

　仙尾骨部に発生し，後腹膜中に発育した脊索腫については先に教室の並木・百瀬らが本邦第4例目を発表した。我々は昭和37年に同様な症例を経験し，最近その転帰についても知り得たので，ここに症例を紹介するとともに，本症に若干の考察を加えて報告する。

A male school teacher, aged 48, complaining pain on urination with frequency, pain in the hypo-gastrium and obstipation, without any history of trauma, visited our clinic. A fist sized, smoothed surfa-ced, globular mass was palpated at the lower abdomen and cystogram showed that the mass compressing the bladder. Barium enema showed the rectum and sigmoid surrounding the mass, being partly compres-sed by it. Surgery was done under the diagnosis of retroperitoneal tumor, through a midline incision of the lower abdomen and the tumor was found to be adhered to the sacrum. The excised mass sized 18×18×16cm and weighed 1092g.
