  • Look Inside

A 29-year-old woman presented with sudden hoarse-ness, swallowing disturbance and disturbance of eleva-tion of her right shoulder. Juglar foramen syndrome (Ver-net syndrome) with the persistant primitive hypoglossal artery was diagnosed. She was treated with dexametha-sone, vitamin B complexes, nicotinic acid and Lipo PGE1 and her symptoms were improved within 1 week of intravenous infusion of the drugs.

Aetiology between lower cranial nerve palsies and the persistant primitive hypoglossal artery was not proved.
