呼吸困難を生じた新生児の中咽頭類皮嚢胞例

Congenital Mesopharyngeal Cyst:A Case Report

　はじめに

　新生児期に上気道疾患が原因で手術加療が行われることは少ないと言われている^1）。今回，生後5日目に中咽頭嚢胞が原因で呼吸困難を起こし，生後6日目に緊急手術を行った新生児症例を経験したので，治療経過を報告するとともに文献的検討を行った。

A 6-day-old newborn boy presented with con-genital mesopharyngeal dermoid cyst. He developedwheeze and respiratory distress during crying or suckling and cyanosis 5 days after birth.

Six days after birth, laryngopharyngofiberscopy revealed a mass occupying the mesopharyngeal space. Emergency operation was performed, and the mass was found to be a pedunculated tumor arising from the bottom of the left palatine tonsil. The pathological diagnosis was dermoid cyst.
