両側鼻腔にまたがった鼻石症例

A Case of a Rhinolith Seen in Bilateral Nasal Cavities

　はじめに

　鼻石症は，日常臨床では比較的少ない疾患である。しかし，既に1602年，Grandiによって報告されて以来，欧米では多数の症例を集めた臨床統計の研究が報告されている^1）。一方，本邦においても同様な臨床統計の研究が発表されている^2〜4）。鼻石症の大多数の症例では一側性の発症であり，両側性のものはごくわずかである。両側性の場合は両側の鼻腔に独立して発症する症例が多いが，われわれは鼻中隔の穿孔を通して，両側鼻腔に存在した両側にまたがった鼻石症例を経験したので，その概要を記載するとともに，今までの報告例を引用しながら若干の考察を加えた。

A 61-year-old man was complaning of bilateral nasal obstruction and yellowish nasal discharge. Rhinoscopic examinations showed a dark-brown mass in the common nasal meatus in each side. CT examinations revealed an election dense mass in the bilateral nasal cavities. The mass was large, sugges-ting a penetration of the nasal septum.

The Rhinolith was removed, piece by piece, using nasal forceps.
