20年の経過の後，喉頭全摘出術を余儀なくされた喉頭verrucous carcinomaの1症例

Total Laryngectomy for Verrucous Carcinoma of the Larynx after 20 years' Observation

　はじめに

　Verrucous carcinomaは扁平上皮癌の亜型であるが，臨床的，病理組織学的に特異な生物学的特性を有することが知られている。その発生部位は頬粘膜が最も多く，喉頭に発生するものは比較的まれである。今回，初診から約20年を経過し，喉頭全摘出術を余儀なくされた喉頭verrucouscarcinomaを経験したので，その概要について報告する。

A 70-year-old man with verrucous carcinoma ofthe larynx was first treated by laser surgery. How-ever, he finally received total laryngectomy because of recurrence. For 20 years he had been followed for a tumor-like lesion in the larynx which was diagnosed as chronic inflammation. He eventually received radical treatment because the lesion had been left untreated.
