診断に苦慮した喉頭verrucous carcinomaの1例

A Case of Laryngeal Verrucous Carcinoma

I．はじめに

　Verrucous carcinomaは極めて高分化な，扁平上皮癌の稀な亜型とされている。耳鼻咽喉科領域では口腔内に好発するが，喉頭で発生することは少なく，その発生頻度は喉頭癌の約1～2％に過ぎないとされている^1）。

　今回われわれは，声門間隙をほぼ閉塞する巨大な腫瘍のため呼吸困難をきたし来院したverrucous carcinomaの1例を経験した。本例では病理学的確定診断に苦慮した。

Verrucous carcinoma is regarded as a rare,well-differentiated variant of squamous cell carcinoma. This tumor is known for good prognosis but for local recurrence and anaplastic transformation following irradiation.

　We reported a rare case of laryngeal verrucous carcinoma in a 63-year-old man whose chief complaint was dyspnea. It was difficult to diagnose laryngeal verrucous carcinoma. The case was treated with laryngectomy and has no sign of recurrence to date.
