顎下部アクチノマイコーシスの1例

A Case Report of Actinomycosis in the Submandibular Region

　はじめに

　放線菌症は，一般的にActinomices israeliiの感染によって起こる疾患であるが^1），抗生剤が導入されて以来徐々に減少し，その典型例をみることは少なくなっている^2）。最近われわれは顎下部に発症し，悪性腫瘍との鑑別を必要とした放線菌症の1例を経験したので，若干の考察を加えて報告する。

A 56-year-old man complained of a swelling of the right submandibular region. There was no initial signs of inflammation, but surgical resection was made to exclude a possibility of presence of malignant tumor. However, an actinomycotic body was found microscopically in the surgically resected material. Though anti-biotics (cephalosporin and aminoglucoside) were administered for 8 days after surgery, no recur-rence of inflammation was found. It was con-luded that the surgical resection was useful treatment for actinomycosis.
