　はじめに

　突発性難聴の聴力予後については多くの報告があるが，一般には前庭症状を伴うもの，聴力障害が高度なものほど予後が悪いと言われている。また聾になったものでは，治癒はほとんど望めないと考えられる。

　今回われわれは，突然のめまい発作で発症し16日間経過後，めまい発作がかなり落ち着いてから難聴が出現して聾になり，これが最終的には治癒に至った，稀な経過をとった聾型突発性難聴の1例を経験したので報告する。

A 26-year-old female presented with vertigo and spontaneous nystagmus. Her vertigo and nystag-mus almost disappeared 16 days after admission, then she complained of fullness in the left ear. Audiometric evaluation revealed a profound deafness in the left ear.

She was treated with high dose of steroid, stellate ganglion block, hyperbalic oxygen therapy, and others. Her hearing loss was recovered from the higher frequency tones to the lower tones. Finally, her hearing was completely recovered.
