下口唇紡錘細胞癌の1症例

Spindle Cell Squamous Carcinoma of the Lip:Report of a Case

　緒言

　紡錘細胞癌は扁平上皮癌の稀な一亜型であり，頭頸部領域では口腔，咽頭，上気道などに見られる。今回，われわれは下口唇の紡錘細胞癌の1症例を経験したので，臨床経過および病理組織学的所見について検討し文献的考察を加えて報告する。

In a case of tumor of the lower lip, the histolo-gical diagnosis was mostly malignant spindle cell tumor but squamous cell carcinoma was not evi-dent. For the differentiation, the specimen was examined for the presence of keratin, KL-1, EMA, vimentin, S-100 protein, and CEA by immunohistochmical techniques. Keratin, KL-1 and EMA were partially positive, and vimentin was strongly positive, but S-100 protein and CEA were negative in the tumor cells. The tumor had epithelial nature and it was diagnosed as spindle cell squamous carcinoma. As superficial recurrence occurred three months after the first surgery, the tumor was surgically removed again. No evidence of the recurrence and metastasis has been noticed after the second surgery.
