Extra-abdominal Desmoid Tumor in the Neck

　はじめに

　Extra-abdominal desmoid tumor（以下，EADTと略）は組織学的には良性であるが，臨床的にはその局所浸潤性と易再発性が問題となる線維性腫瘍である。好発部位は筋肉や腱であり，頭頸部領域に発生するのは比較的稀と言われている。

　今回われわれは，38歳男性の左頸部に発生したEADTを経験した。MRIと手術所見を対比した結果興味ある知見が得られたので，その臨床的特徴について文献的考察を加え報告する。

An extra-abdominal desmoid tumor of the neck was found in a 38-year-old man, and the tumor was surgically removed.

The characteristics of this tumor are very hard and invasive into the surrounding tissues. Further-more, local recurrence of tumor often occurs.

From these reasons, we enphasized that MRI is useful to diagnose this tumor and to check the local recurrence.
