　はじめに

　絞頸strangulationにょる病理的現象の記載は，多くの場合，転帰が致死的であるため，従来，法医学の領域に多く見られ，臨床医学面からの報告は極めて少ない。

　われわれは，暴力による絞頸を受けたが蘇生し，数日後，耳痛・鼓膜充血などの急性中耳炎症状を呈した症例を経験したので報告する。

A 21-year-old female, who was strangulated by ruffian, complained of left earache. The tympanic membrane, showed hyperemia, and extravasation was seen at her oropharyngeal mucosa. Her au-diogram showed a slightly conductive hearing impairment. We considered that acute otitis media was caused from congestion by high blood pressure. This case is the first report of acute otitis media after strangulation.
