Chronic cough and throat discomfort are common symptoms. In spite of an extensive workup and empiric treatments, not a few patients continue to have these symptoms. Recent literature has shown laryngeal sensory neuropathy(LSN)is one of the causes of these symptoms and can be treatable with neuromodulator medications.

I experienced two cases of LSN. The first case was a 74-year-old male who complained of odynophagia for one month and the second was a 40-year-old female who complained of cough for two months. After treatments of regular regimen without relief, pregabalin was used in both cases and their complaints were disappeared.
